I’m a self-confessed eyeshadow palette-addict. I’m leaving for a wedding weekend trip tomorrow and am planning on packing at least three. I’ve got so many new ones to share with you too!
This one is not-so-new. Urban Decay Naked 2 was the first palette I got and I’ve been building my Naked collection ever since. Smoky gave me pause, though. I don’t often do very dramatic eyeshadow looks. Naked has always provided super wearable shades, and frankly I was a bit intimidated by Naked Smoky. I picked up Naked Smoky because it was on sale randomly at Sephora and I had a VIB Rouge discount. It sat unused for a while because I never had an occasion to try it out. Once I finally took the plunge, I found these shades to be incredibly wearable– even for day-looks!
Too Faced has put out some beautiful limited edition Christmas sets and they’re just so hard to resist. They make great gifts for make-up lovers, and the Grande Hotel Café has made a perfect edition to my holiday make-up rotation.
The Grade Hotel Café opens to reveal three lightly scented palettes: Gingerbread Cookie, Peppermint Mocha, and Eggnog Latte. Seeing these individually, I could never have decided between them, but you get all three for $49– they even throw in a mini Better Than Sex Mascara!
I’ve had so much fun creating subtle eyeshadow looks for the season, and I can’t wait to amp it up for holiday parties.
Each palette includes 6 eyeshadows and one cheek color, which I’ve loved being able to reach for as a finishing touch!
These limited edition holiday sets definitely tug at me when I see them in stores, but I’m so pleased with this purchase! Which holiday sets have made it to your wish list?
It’s been a BUSY month, but I’ve been very, very happy.
Here’s the month in instagrams:
Started off the month by picked up my Mew code! Tried out some new fitness gear in a snowstorm; had the best workout of my life. Sephora Prudential reopened, and I took the opportunity to up my skincare game. My cousin had a workout-themed birthday party! More of that here! My Valentine’s present– The Legend of Zelda Symphony of the Goddess! Oops, a snapchat* cap for you… a triumphant return to running! My miso soup addiction continues. Peanut butter shake from Shake Shack is becoming an all-too-frequent treat. A fun trip to Boston Public library to renew my library card! More of that here!
Stay tuned for what I read last month! I didn’t have as great of a month as January, but we knew that would happen, huh? Hope March is already off to a great start for you guys! I’ve got some fun stuff coming up and I can’t wait to share it with you!
