Engagement Photos

Today, for Wedding Wednesday, I wanted to share just handful of our engagement photos.  These were taken by G. Riggieri Photography in Scituate, MA.  We had so much fun taking these photos with Gabby and couldn’t be happier with how they came out!  I love her aesthetic and feel like it perfectly matches my own.  I can’t wait to take pictures on our wedding day!

May by Day

Since June is barely even days away, it’s time to share my May instagrams!

[1] I can’t believe how different the weather was in the beginning of the month!  At least I got to debut my Banana Republic dachshund sweater. [2] My youngest cousin made her First Communion!  Here’s my family all dressed up. [3] I bought my first ever pair of Jacks!  They’re Nicole, platinum & gold. [4] I did a 5k walk for my cousin’s company through Forest Hills Cemetery, which was spellbindingly beautiful! [5] Selfies were taken in my signature camo jacket. [6] My ModCloth jewelry arrived!  Did you guess right? [7] Memorial Day weekend brought my triumphant return to the Ocean State!  Here are some Rhode Island things. [8] The beach house got all dressed up for a new season. [9] And I even got started on my tan!

Hope you’re all having a great weekend!

What summer fun do you have planned for June?!

Farewell February

I’m not going to lie, I’m super happy this month is over.  February was a lot of indoor living, slush and sadness.

This month has buried Boston in snow and everyone’s seasonal depression has gotten worse. I feel like I’ve been super productive lately, but all of my progress is overshadowed by the little annoyances that have crept in… I’m ready for some changes, and a new month sounds like a good way to start!

(1) Cheering the Patriots to victory in the suburbs with a blanket of snow already on the ground. (2) And then the storms came. Here’s Juno! (3) Cupcakes + coffee, super healthy breakfast on a snow day. (4) …Did I mention we got a lot of snow in Boston? (5) Got my hair done and vowed to be blonde forever. (6) I spent Valentine’s Day watching the Pokémon VCG regionals in St. Louis! (7) Majora’s Mask 3D came out!  This is one of my favorite games ever, so it’s great to have it portable. (8) I ate all of these macarons in one day, oops!  I’d love to try to bake some soon. (9) After 5 PM and it’s still almost light?  This is progress.

Are you looking forward to March as much as I am?

Tell me something good that you just can’t wait for!

Weekend Adventures: Blue Hills

I’m a city girl.  I live downtown, rely on walking and public transportation, and rarely head to the more suburban areas of Boston.  Sometimes, you just have to get out of the city!  While the summer gave me plenty of beach escapes, I decided to head out and enjoy the fall foliage here in New England!  I took a hike through Blue Hill Reservation!

My parents moved to the area last year, and my dad and I had been wanting to take an autumn hike for so long.  Last weekend, on a beautiful sunny Sunday after a rainy Saturday, we went for it.  It was a bit athletic, and a lot beautiful!  Follow the cut for some photos of our hike!

See ya, September!

I can’t believe it’s already October!  I think this month is going to be a great one for me.  I’m looking forward to autumn weather, Boston College football, more pumpkin-flavored goodies, and a trip to see one of my best friends in Philadelphia later in the month!  Though I took on September rather begrudgingly, when I look back, I think it was a great month too.  Let’s say goodbye now, shall we?

[1] I’m cheating already ’cause this photo was taken in August… but it’s a September activity for Bostonians!  This is what I wore to help my friend move.  This adorable hoodie is from So So Happy!  [2]  Sangria was my drink of September!  Here I am drinking that with my friends Chelsea, Sarah, and Carissa at Sarah’s new place.   See?  More moving!  [3]  It’s definitely been an indian summer and I haven’t been able to wear any of the adorable fall sweaters and vests I’ve bought.  At least I found the opportunity to rock my camo jacket!  [4] The iPhone 6 came out!  I can’t have one until February, sadly.  Luckily, I’m friends with the IT guy at the office who was upgraded to the six for work purposes and let me play with it. [5]  I searched through my baby book to verify exactly what time I was born for astrological purposes, obviously.  I found this adorable picture of bb Nicole and her daddy.  [6] Hyrule Warriors came out!  I’ve been playing a lot, but not as much as I’d like to.  Hopefully I’ll get some more quality time with my Wii U soon.  [7]  My eyeliner game is so strong now, you guys.  This selfie is from a lovely walk down Boston’s Commonwealth Avenue– one of my favorite streets to walk down in any season!  [8]  What did I tell you about the Sangria?  This one is made from boxed wine and hard cider with cranberries, oranges, and apples!  [9]  After moving comes housewarming parties!  The aforementioned sangria is from my friend Julia’s.  Here I am with Jill and Julia celebrating her new digs!

Photo Finish: Summer 2014

Though the season itself isn’t quite done, I can’t help but feel September’s approach means that summer is slipping away.  School is starting again for those who work in them or attend, and there’s already a cooler feeling to the air.  Well, I’ve got to say that this New England girl had a wonderful summer in Massachusetts and Rhode Island!

I must say, these last few months have been quite lovely!  You’ll notice my brother, Joey, plays a pivotal role in many of the above photo highlights, which is apt to happen as he’s one of my favorite humans. Since today marks the start of summer, I’m taking a moment now to recognize all the fun things spring brought to me.  Summer, keep the good times coming!
