Happy Manicure Monday! This Julep addict used one of her many coupons to pick up the Camo Crush collection and couldn’t wait to try it out!
I’m a camo addict too. My collection includes pants, tops, hats, a gorgeous newJ. Crew puffer vest that I’m dying for the weather to be cool enough for me to wear, and the jacket I wear every day. One of my friends alerted me to this camo-themed nail polish set, and I knew it had my name on it! Since I’m a Julep Maven, I got these three polishes for the price of one!
The collection included:
Hannah – a very light green that’s akin to a retro chartreuse. This is definitely a three coat color!
Roc Solid – a perfect fall hunter green, used above on my middle nail.
Kendra – a shimmery olivine that I’ve used to my accent nail.
I’m completely obsessed with olive green, and these colors really resonated camo to me! I’m super happy with my purchase, and glad I tried all three out together!
I think Hannah’s appropriate for the Halloween season as well… it reminds me a little bit of Frankenstein. I’m eagerly awaiting the beautiful Black Magic collection in my October Maven box, so stayed tuned for that in the next coming weeks!
As always, if you want to be a Maven, just let me know!
I know this is a bit of a different look, but I’m really in love with it. What do you think of these camo colors?
Happy Manicure Monday! I couldn’t wait to try out all of my new Julep colors from my last Maven Box. Today’s post features two of them, and there’s another on my instagram!
This is what I like to call Earth Sign Divine– perfect for a Capricorn like me! I’m using my new favorite, Essie’s Fierce, No Fear. I’ve been toying with the idea of doubling down on the accent colors and Candace and Chloe were just the opportunity I was waiting for!
My traditional accent nail is done in Candace, the sparkle golden brown. My middle finger sports Chloe, a chocolatey shimmer. Fierce, No Fear and Candace will be making frequent appearances as I’m especially in love with both of them!
Meanwhile, I keep getting coupons and discount codes from Julep, so I have tons of new colors to try out! Keep checking my insta for these, and if you want in on the action, leave me a comment with your email address for three free colors!
I picked up Essie’s Bikini So Teeny as a break-time pick me up one day during work. After wearing it a couple times, I found that it kept reminding me of something… my absolute favorite flower, hydrangeas!
I paired this cornflower blue color with an old favorite for the accent nail, Essie’s Play Date, a fun, bright purple! This truly made the manicure all about hydrangeas. This manicure Monday, I’m showing my hydrangea inspired nails along with the most beautiful hydrangeas I’ve seen! I found these beautiful flowers in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. I made a trip there last weekend as well with some friends. We stopped by Taylor Swift’s house while we were there…
How cute is this, though?
We got a real kick out of this sign! The guard was super nice and let us come up and snap some photos of it, and chatted with us about TSwift and (at my friend Chelsea’s request,) her cat!
Hope you all had lovely weekends!
What do you think of this hydrangea-inspired color scheme?
Hey guys, it’s manicure Monday! I tried out a new brand– L’Oreal Color Riche!
I saw this color, Orange You Jealous?, when browsing drug store make-up with a friend. I bought it on impulse because I loved the coral color– it’s a bit more pink than orange but I absolutely love it. I’ve paired it here with Essie’s Mint Candy Apple and it’s quickly become my favorite color combination of the summer. The polish itself does not go on smooth like Essie, or Revlon, or Sally Hansen. It takes a couple of coats to get this color and the first time I used it, it looked really messy! I was ready to write L’Oreal polish off, but the color is so pretty that I did a repaint after it chipped away. This color is a homerun for me. Would I buy L’Oreal Color Riche nail polish again, though? Probably not.
I’ll definitely continue to use Orange You Jealous? and hopefully find even more fun colors to pair it with. What other brands should I try out?
