With Hyrule Warriors on the brain this week, I’ve been super into The Legend of Zelda as a whole. I know, I know, how is that different from any other day? A new piece of the fandom always reignites my fervor. I couldn’t constantly be playing Hyrule Warriors, so I went searching for reviews, videos, and all Zelda-related info. My favorite find of the week is this YouTube video from The Game Theorists.
The premise is to determine which of the 11-ish Links is the strongest Link. It’s a fun walk through all the Zelda games we know and love. My favorite detail of this video is that it’s full of Doctor Who references as well– from a Tardis to symbolize time travel, to Matt Smith to symbolize 11-ish. Perfect. There’s some other fun references, like Lord of the Rings as well.
I’ll definitely be checking out more of The Game Theorists’ Youtube videos, and of course, playing more Hyrule Warriors. How’s your game coming along?
I can’t believe it’s already October! I think this month is going to be a great one for me. I’m looking forward to autumn weather, Boston College football, more pumpkin-flavored goodies, and a trip to see one of my best friends in Philadelphia later in the month! Though I took on September rather begrudgingly, when I look back, I think it was a great month too. Let’s say goodbye now, shall we?
I’m cheating already ’cause this photo was taken in August… but it’s a September activity for Bostonians! This is what I wore to help my friend move. This adorable hoodie is from So So Happy! Sangria was my drink of September! Here I am drinking that with my friends Chelsea, Sarah, and Carissa at Sarah’s new place. See? More moving! It’s definitely been an indian summer and I haven’t been able to wear any of the adorable fall sweaters and vests I’ve bought. At least I found the opportunity to rock my camo jacket! The iPhone 6 came out! I can’t have one until February, sadly. Luckily, I’m friends with the IT guy at the office who was upgraded to the six for work purposes and let me play with it. I searched through my baby book to verify exactly what time I was born for astrological purposes, obviously. I found this adorable picture of bb Nicole and her daddy. Hyrule Warriors came out! I’ve been playing a lot, but not as much as I’d like to. Hopefully I’ll get some more quality time with my Wii U soon. My eyeliner game is so strong now, you guys. This selfie is from a lovely walk down Boston’s Commonwealth Avenue– one of my favorite streets to walk down in any season! What did I tell you about the Sangria? This one is made from boxed wine and hard cider with cranberries, oranges, and apples! After moving comes housewarming parties! The aforementioned sangria is from my friend Julia’s. Here I am with Jill and Julia celebrating her new digs!
I’m thinking I just need to sign over my next paycheck to Nintendo, because my Game Stop pre-order list is out of control. I recently stopped in to pick my brother up a birthday present (a 3DS XL bundle, because I’m the best sister) and left with a long pre-order list!
Here’s what Nintendo is taking all of my money for:
Hyrule Warriors for WiiU – this Legend of Zelda game is available September 26, so it currently requires the least amount of patience… yay!
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS – I’ve pre-ordered the 3DS version since it comes out before the WiiU version. This one’s available in October!
Pokémon Alpha Sapphire version – I couldn’t be more excited about Hoenn remakes. I literally could not be any more excited. November literally cannot come soon enough.
Pokémon Omega Ruby version – obviously I pre-ordered both versions! Did I mention I can’t wait?
Super Smash Bros. for WiiU – I haven’t technically pre-ordered this one yet, but I absolutely know I’ll be getting it. This one’s not out until December, so I’ve got a ways to go.
Mario Kart 8 DLCpack 1 & pack 2 – I’ve already pre-ordered the combo pack of both sets of DLC. I get one in November and one next May. Pre-ordering also lets me use eight additional colored Yoshis and 8 additional colored Shy Guys!
