A spooky pokémon Mimikyu pin set unboxing for Halloween!
We saw a lot of Jack-o-Lanterns last weekend! But also, I had a Saturday of shopping at my favorite stores– Barnes & Noble, Alex & Ani, and Sephora! Find out what I got by watching the vlog…
Guys, since I’m still pretending my gym relationship is going well, I at least wanted to tell you that I took a new class last week! It’s Body Flow, which is a yoga/pilates/tai chi kind of deal. My core finally got some attention, and I will definitely be returning.
How was everyone’s Halloweekend?!
November already?! November is my favorite month because Thanksgiving is coming! Sadly, my favorite season is flying by. Here are the ‘gram-worthy moments from October:
[1] For a while, it was cool enough to be sweater weather! This week, New England is experiencing Indian summer. Woof. [2] Fall foliage in the suburbs– you can’t beat it! [3] I’ve been loving Pac Sun tees. Check out my latest favorites video to see more! [4] Sunset over the Chestnut Hill reservoir… not a bad view! [5] I battled sickness basically all of October. Good thing I had a seasonally appropriate cup from which to drink tea! [6] Pumpkin patch love at Pakeen Farms! [7] I touched up the blonde; I’m committed! [8] I took my first trip to Ogawa Coffee– Boston is the first US location, but there are 35 around Kyoto, Japan! This caramel latte was delicious and went well with Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling. [9] Halloween Chanel-o-ween! Scream Queens with Celina.
I also put up a surprise new video over the weekend, so be sure to check out & subscribe to my Youtube channel!
Are you lamenting the flight of autumn, or already looking forward to the holiday season?! I’m a little bit in the middle. Let me know!
As always, here are my thoughts on this week’s Scream Queens:
I think Chanel is looking less and less guilty as this show goes on. I’ve never thought she was, but I don’t think you possibly could now. What do you think? Missing from this episode: all adults. Any red devil theories?
In this week’s Scream Queens, Chanel’s haunted pumpkin patch is in action… whether or not Dean Munch allowed it. It turns into Orange is the New Black for a hot second, and we learn A LOT. Here are my thoughts:
Have a great weekend, loves!
Happy Halloween! Guys, October FLEW by! It was such a great month, too. Because it was such an awesome October, I had a hard time picking just 9 pictures for this post! Here are just some of the things that happened:
[1] pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins! [2] I attended the midnight release of Super Smash Brothers 3DS. The game is amazing! And you can see how excited I was about it. [3] I took in a lot of fall foliage! Remember my hike of Blue Hills? [4] Gillian Anderson’s first book, A Vision of Fire, came out! I’m hoping to actually get some time to read next month… [5] I returned to my all-black-everything fashion sense and finally finished/got re-obsessed with American Horror Story: Coven. That’s kept me obsessed and up-to-date with AHS season 4! [6] I made pumpkin cookies with my little pumpkin friend! I’ve actually done a lot of cooking this month. [7] I’ve done a lot of eating too. These are pumpkin cheesecake cupcakes for part of our October birthday celebration at work. [8] Boston College football! I went to BC v. Clemson, and getting stuck in the Clemson section was okay because cheerleaders are fun. [9] And finally, my Philly trip to visit Stacie & Walker! That post went up earlier this week.
You can always check my instagram for more photo updates!
Have a fun Halloweekend, everybody!
Links for a New World is a feature in which I share a bunch of links to things around the web that are relevant to my interests. It’s your weekend reading list! The name comes from a musical… for no particular reason.
My pumpkin friend from last weekend’s adventure! Stay tuned for this post next week.
I kept it simple when choosing my October box– I actually didn’t change or add a thing! The October It Girl box was just so perfect, that I couldn’t wait to get these great colors from the Black Magic collection!
fun black sparkle tissue too!
Here’s what I got:
These beautiful colors from the Black Magic Collection are perfect for Halloween, but also just great basics for any collection. They look very neutral, like simple black & white, but pack a pretty punch!
essentials!
As always, I got a coupon. This time I got $10 my next $20 purchase. I also got this pretty little goodie:
I’m obsessed with this card, and tucked it into the corner of my mirror.
Finally, I got candy corn in this box! How cute!
Any other Julep Mavens out there? What did your October box look like?
