June, Going So Soon?

Alright friends, I think you can tell by the lack of posts lately that June has been a really hectic month.  How is it over already?  I didn’t get any of the posts up I wanted to.  I only read one book!

The good thing is, I took a lot of lovely photos that I’ll share with you now.

[1] If you’ve never walked around the Kendall area of Cambridge, I suggest you do. [2] Cookie Monstah’s red velvet cookies are my jam. [3] We visited Quincy Quarries! [4] We took our engagement photos!  More on this to come.  [5] I fell in love with orange kalanchoe. [6] Our indoor garden grew! [7] #SailBoston did not disappoint!  [8] We went to one of my favorite places: Watch Hill, Rhode Island. [9] Summer blooms were around in full force!

I do have a backlog list of posts and videos that I promise will be coming your way soon!  For now, enjoy your Fourth of July holidays!

May ‘Grams

What a month it’s been!  This post is a little late because I took too much vlog footage last weekend… and I think I should have a lot for this weekend too, but you’ll have to stay tuned to see.

For now, let’s talk about May:

[1] It’s hard to be home after Japan, but this view makes it easier! [2] Amanda and I stalk Christina on her class field trip to Boston. [8] My hometown girls before Diva & Deepan’s sangeet. [9] Their wedding was the best I’ve ever been to!

Februarygrams

I couldn’t be more excited to get out of February and launch into March!  I’ve got a biiiig trip coming up and I’ve been counting down the days!  Let’s revisit some of the great things that happened in February, though.

November’s End

November’s end is the ultimate I-can’t-believe-the-month-is-over.  Maybe you’re already embroiled in the holiday season and happy to see December, but December means the year is coming to a close.  November’s always been a favorite of mine, and I have a major reason to love this particular November…

[1] We went to a wedding in Tennessee in October, but I didn’t get my hands on these photos until this month. [2] Matt made these little pumpkin rolls twice.  I hope he realizes he’ll be making them a lot more. [3] I taught myself to weave!  It went okay.  Here’s the first thing I made. [4] Matt sent me these flowers on the day he proposed.  I had no idea they weren’t the end of it. [5] Yes, this is the reason I am sad to see this month go! [6] POKEMON SUN & MOON [7] Celebrating Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday [8] Driving up north and seeing the first signs of snow. [9] And the Christmas tree is up for our first Christmas together!

So, there’s lots of good stuff to come.  Are you looking forward to the holiday season?

Marching On…

Happy April!  It’s got to be spring now, right?  There will be no April Fool-ing you here today– just an insta-recap of the month we just left!

March started out slow for my instagram game, but before the mont was over, I had so many awesome shots to chose from!  I’m sharing 9, as usual, that signify some of the cool stuff I did last month.

[1] March started with the oddest flower delivery of all time– this arrangement was sent to me by UPS as an apology for a customer service faux pas! [2] I enjoyed a couple of restaurant week dinners.  Here’s my delicious dessert from dinner at Tapeo with Celina and Elissa. [3] I have been mildly obsessed with the tiramisu latte at Starbucks.  [4] I shopped a lot!  I wasn’t in the mood to buy clothes in the cold weather, but I did pick up some pretty make-up items [5] I played a lot of Nintendo 3DS!  This should come as a surprise to no one.  I’ve been trading pokémon with my friend, Tim, which has made the experience so much better. [6] I won an instagram contest with this picture from a barre class at Simply Barre in Southie, hosted by Elissa! [7] I battled more cold weather.  Boston will just not let up! [8] My new Hunter boots arrived!  There is a whole saga behind this, but the short version is: my beloved Hunters bit the dust after the worst winter ever.  Customer service did me a little bit of a solid and helped me get a new pair to love! [9] I took some selfies.  Again, this should come as a surprise to no one.

Watch Hill Hydrangeas

I picked up Essie’s Bikini So Teeny as a break-time pick me up one day during work.  After wearing it a couple times, I found that it kept reminding me of something… my absolute favorite flower, hydrangeas!

I paired this cornflower blue color with an old favorite for the accent nail, Essie’s Play Date, a fun, bright purple!  This truly made the manicure all about hydrangeas.  This manicure Monday, I’m showing my hydrangea inspired nails along with the most beautiful hydrangeas I’ve seen!  I found these beautiful flowers in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.  I made a trip there last weekend as well with some friends.  We stopped by Taylor Swift’s house while we were there…

How cute is this, though?

How cute is this, though?

We got a real kick out of this sign!  The guard was super nice and let us come up and snap some photos of it, and chatted with us about TSwift and (at my friend Chelsea’s request,) her cat!

Hope you all had lovely weekends!

What do you think of this hydrangea-inspired color scheme?
