Cambridgeside Galleria

Holidays at Cambridgeside

It’s that time of year again– when everyone spends as much time at the mall as I do!  Whether it’s running to Macy’s for the perfect holiday party shoes, or Sephora for the latest eyeshadow palette to compliment my holiday look, or popping in Newbury Comics for that a fun Secret Santa gift, Cambridgeside Galleria is my go-to for shopping!

Cambridgeside Galleria recently underwent a make-over and it looks so new & clean!  The Christmas decor is all new too and I am absolutely mesmerized by these adorable hanging trees in geometric crystal shapes.  Below, Santa waits for you to tell him what you want for Christmas.  Photos with Santa are free, so this is a great place to bring your family (or girlfriends) for a little holiday fun!

Of course, there’s plenty of fun for bloggers as well with the annual Glamour Swap– I never miss it!  This year, I pulled a Celestial-print bag from Ann Taylor that couldn’t be more my aesthetic!

Holiday party ready from last week with my Ann Taylor pouch; LOFT dress (old); and Alex & Ani necklace.

It’s a busy time for us all, so if you’re anything like me, Christmas is sneaking right up on you!  With only one week til Christmas, I suggest you make your way over to Cambridgeside to finish your holiday shopping!

Thank you to Cambridgeside Galleria for inviting me to celebrate the holidays with you!

The New Cambridgeside

Change is in the air!  It’s Memorial Day, unofficially ushering in the summer season!  If you’re a New Englander like me, you’ll know we got a big change in the weather last week– some sunshine!  I spent a beautiful, sunshine-y evening (isn’t it nice that the sun is still up at 7:00?) on the Charles River with my friends at Cambridgeside Galleria, where major changes are occurring!

I met my fiancé at Cambridgeside Galleria, so you could say I spend a lot of time there.  There’s a lot of construction right now as the whole mall gets a face lift!  I can’t wait to see what it’s like when it’s all done!  I got to go on a little scavenger hunt around the three levels of stores stopping by some of my favorites– Sunglasses Hut (will be returning for sunglasses now that I have my new prescription!), Sephora (might’ve dropped some money there), Banana Republic (need one of these phone-charger clutches by the way), and more!  Macy’s demo’ed Clinique’s Pop Liquid Matte Lip Color  and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it!

After some light shopping, we took to the sea! that dirty water.  If you’ve never seen Boston from the Charles before, I promise you, you’re doing it wrong.  Charles Riverboat Company provides the best view around!  It was a perfect night for it and I’m already looking for an excuse to do it again.

It was a great kickoff to the season, and obviously I’ll be back for more shopping at Cambridgeside Galleria!

Cambridgeside Holidays

It’s inevitable– you’re going to be spending some time at the mall this month.  I’m the kind of person who frequents malls, and Cambridgeside Galleria has become my mall.  (Literally, I met my fiancé there!)

I never miss the Cambridgeside Galleria Glamour Swap.  It’s a great chance to get in the holiday spirit and get some gift ideas!

Of course, the Glamour Swap had me leaving with a gift of my own.  Though I coveted an Urban Decay palette, I opened up this adorable clutch from J. Crew.  I think it’ll look great with black, which most of my wardrobe is, and be great to throw in my big purse for traveling– thus allowing me to only take what I need when I do go out!

Cambridgeside Galleria is not only a great place for Christmas shopping, but it’s the only place you can get pictures with Santa for free!  They assure me it’s for “kids” of all ages.

What gifts are you grabbing this year?  (It’s totally still a gift if you’re getting it for yourself, right?!)

Cruisin’ at Cambridgeside

If Cambridgeside Galleria is putting on an event, you go.  This is from a girl who is at this mall nearly every single day.  Earlier this month, Cambridgeside had a fall fashion event where we took a river cruise down the Charles, got some sweet swag from Forever 21, took in some fashion & scenery, and of course, shopped!

Here are some snaps from the day:

Pictured: my statement necklace c/o Forever 21; the city through the boat’s window; a “C” nautical flag for the Charles Riverboat Company; beautiful Boston; me & my girl Celina; pumpkin pie cheesecake c/o Cheesecake Factory.

What I love about Cambridgeside is that it offers stores I can’t get to anywhere else.  There’s not a Best Buy left on this city’s public transit!  It’s also the only Pac Sun around.  I visited both of these stores last weekend.  Of course, I frequent certain spots any time I see them.  On this day, Celina and I went to Sephora and I picked up one of my new favorite products… you will hear about that soon!

Now here’s a hot tip: the Longfellow Bridge is under construction and you can’t walk across the pretty side.  The only place to see the beautiful view of Boston is from the water.  That’s where this river cruise comes in handy!  It leaves from right outside the mall, so you can really make a day of it.

To see more of my cruise, check out my vlog where I captured the whole experience!

Have you checked out Cambridgeside Galleria and its fall fashions?  You’ll see I added a few new items to my wardrobe from there and I’d love to see what you have!

Thank you, as always, Cambridgeside, for an amazing time!  And thank you Charles Riverboat Company!   //  disclosure: cruise/items provided by Cambridgeside Galleria; all opinions my own!

Blogger Holiday at Cambridgeside

I am no stranger to Cambridgeside Galleria.  In fact, I frequent this mall and probably have been at least once a week all year long.  No shame, guys, I’m a mall person and this is a big, beautiful mall!

Last week, I was lucky enough to attend a Blogger Holiday Glamour Swap at Cambridgeside!

We got some fabulous ideas for gifts, amazing outfit inspiration, and of course, enjoys some sweet sips and delicious bites via California Pizza Kitchen.

Let’s take a moment to talk about this salted caramel pudding I ate.  I love CPK and have had dessert there many times, but this was an item I haven’t seen on the menu… perhaps due to my efforts to cook more and eat out less!  Clearly, I was missing out on this pudding, though.  I may have even taken a second helping… they were mini!

I guess I’m not the only one who found love in this pudding, because blogger Fran’s Favs has even devised a recipe for it!

The Yankee Swap gifts were donated by several stores throughout the mall and each gave me wonderful ideas for gifts for others, and maybe even for myself.  My Wish List this Wednesday is all things jeweled & warm!

One | Ann Taylor $49.50 – black, gray, ivory, or blush
Two | Ann Taylor $59.50 – black, gray, ivory, or blush
Three | Club Monaco $69.50 – perfect in heather gray

We also got big swag bags with tons of samples & coupons!  OtterBox gave us the opportunity to get Resurgence battery cases… mine’s in the mail right now, so I’ll update you on the product review!  We headed over to Plammie Activewear afterward and were treated to a free panty.  Gosh, that store is so cute that it inspires me to workout more!  Sephora gave us all sorts of goodies too, including $10 gift cards.  You know your girl already spent hers.

Thank you, Cambridgeside for a wonderful night of sipping, shopping, eating, and repeating!  Aaaand I’ll probably see you tomorrow.

What do you think of these wish list picks?  For presents, or for yourself?
