The New Cambridgeside

afterlight

Change is in the air!  It’s Memorial Day, unofficially ushering in the summer season!  If you’re a New Englander like me, you’ll know we got a big change in the weather last week– some sunshine!  I spent a beautiful, sunshine-y evening (isn’t it nice that the sun is still up at 7:00?) on the Charles River with my friends at Cambridgeside Galleria, where major changes are occurring!

I met my fiancé at Cambridgeside Galleria, so you could say I spend a lot of time there.  There’s a lot of construction right now as the whole mall gets a face lift!  I can’t wait to see what it’s like when it’s all done!  I got to go on a little scavenger hunt around the three levels of stores stopping by some of my favorites– Sunglasses Hut (will be returning for sunglasses now that I have my new prescription!), Sephora (might’ve dropped some money there), Banana Republic (need one of these phone-charger clutches by the way), and more!  Macy’s demo’ed Clinique’s Pop Liquid Matte Lip Color  and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it!

After some light shopping, we took to the sea! that dirty water.  If you’ve never seen Boston from the Charles before, I promise you, you’re doing it wrong.  Charles Riverboat Company provides the best view around!  It was a perfect night for it and I’m already looking for an excuse to do it again.

It was a great kickoff to the season, and obviously I’ll be back for more shopping at Cambridgeside Galleria!

Matt and I got engaged last Wednesday and we couldn’t be happier!  He completely surprised me on the anniversary of the day we met.  Thoughtful as ever, he made sure the moment was captured on video.

So, get ready for some wedding planning on this blog!

Januarygrams

Okay, we’re three days into February.  I haven’t exactly been disciplined or scheduled with the blog or YouTube this year.  Winter is tough and motivation is hard to find.  I have, however, had such a great start to 2016 on a personal note.  Though I’m not really up on my instagram game either, (I’ll get there!) I’ll share with you some of these January memories:

Cruisin’ at Cambridgeside

If Cambridgeside Galleria is putting on an event, you go.  This is from a girl who is at this mall nearly every single day.  Earlier this month, Cambridgeside had a fall fashion event where we took a river cruise down the Charles, got some sweet swag from Forever 21, took in some fashion & scenery, and of course, shopped!

Here are some snaps from the day:

Pictured: my statement necklace c/o Forever 21; the city through the boat’s window; a “C” nautical flag for the Charles Riverboat Company; beautiful Boston; me & my girl Celina; pumpkin pie cheesecake c/o Cheesecake Factory.

What I love about Cambridgeside is that it offers stores I can’t get to anywhere else.  There’s not a Best Buy left on this city’s public transit!  It’s also the only Pac Sun around.  I visited both of these stores last weekend.  Of course, I frequent certain spots any time I see them.  On this day, Celina and I went to Sephora and I picked up one of my new favorite products… you will hear about that soon!

Now here’s a hot tip: the Longfellow Bridge is under construction and you can’t walk across the pretty side.  The only place to see the beautiful view of Boston is from the water.  That’s where this river cruise comes in handy!  It leaves from right outside the mall, so you can really make a day of it.

To see more of my cruise, check out my vlog where I captured the whole experience!

Have you checked out Cambridgeside Galleria and its fall fashions?  You’ll see I added a few new items to my wardrobe from there and I’d love to see what you have!

Thank you, as always, Cambridgeside, for an amazing time!  And thank you Charles Riverboat Company!   //  disclosure: cruise/items provided by Cambridgeside Galleria; all opinions my own!
