Animal Crossing

Uniqlo x Nintendo

I’m having trouble finding the words for how perfect these Nintendo tees for Uniqlo are.  I mean, one of my favorite stores plus my absolute favorite game company… could anything be more made for me?

I have to give the credit to my fiancé for alerting me to this one.  Between the two of us, we could’ve easily bought this whole collection.  Here are my favorites!

Top Row: Pikachu Print (women); Boo print (women); Donkey Kong print (men), Animal Crossing print (kids)

Middle Row: Pikachu (men), Kirby (kids), Donkey Kong (men), Mario & Luigi pipe pocket (men)

Bottom Row: Super Mario Star (men), Pokéballs (kids), Legend of Zelda (men & women), There’s One Left Pikachu (men)

All the best tees are really the kids one, but I can try my luck at fitting in men, women, and kids!  To see them all, check out the Uniqlo site.  To see what we picked out, check out the vlog coming up tomorrow!

Which are your favorites?!

(Pre-Japan) Marchstagrams

March has been great for so many reasons!

[9] at least I maintained balance with a ride at The Handle Bar in Harvard Sq.

and [10] …we’re in JAPAN NOW.  Be sure to check in on the instagrams that didn’t make it here!

What was your favorite part of March?

Halloweekend Vlog

Guys, since I’m still pretending my gym relationship is going well, I at least wanted to tell you that I took a new class last week!  It’s Body Flow, which is a yoga/pilates/tai chi kind of deal.  My core finally got some attention, and I will definitely be returning.

How was everyone’s Halloweekend?!

Hokusai

If you follow me on instagram or watch my vlogs, you know I went to check out the Hokusai exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts last week.  I was glad I found time to see it, as I knew I’d like it… I just had no idea how much!  This has been my favorite collection since Chihuly a couple of summers ago, reminding me how much I need the MFA in my life!

You might know Hokusai from the Great Wave:

Red might have tried to sell this to you in Animal Crossing New Leaf.

Hokusai closes at the MFA Boston on August 9, so I highly recommend you see it before it’s gone!  A collection of works by pupils of Hokusai is coming at the end of August, and I cannot wait!  I took a million pictures, but I’ll share a few more with you here. (more…)

Smash: Who’s Your Bro?

I actually attended my first midnight release to pick up Super Smash Bros. 3DS (which was a sociological experiment unlike any other) and despite a busy weekend, I’ve found time ample time to play and unlock a bunch of the new characters.  Super Smash 3DS is full of new characters anyway: 15– from Pokémon’s Greninja to Pac Man, from Animal Crossing’s Village to Wii Fit Trainer, whose graceful yet powerful fighting style fills me with a strange gamer-glee.  Aside from the 20-some odd characters you start off with, I’ve also unlocked Falco, Ness, Wario, Lucina, Dark Pit, Dr. Mario, R.O.B., Ganondorf, Game & Watch, and Bowser Jr. so far. (I know, I’m probably slow.)  With all of those options, do you know who I’m playing ever single fight with?

couldn't do it without you, buddy.

Kirby.

From Super Smash 64 right through to 3DS, Kirby is my dude.  I’ve tried out other characters for sheer curiosity, but I’m always always always Kirby.  I just can’t play with anyone else.

What I want to know is: Who is your main man in Super Smash?  Who’s your go-to guy?  Has it switched at all in newer incarnations of this game?

What do you think of the new Super Smash so far?  Who have you unlocked?
