As I’ve been saying, I took a bit of time off around Christmas to have a nice, long vacation. I got to enjoy the holiday in upstate New York with my family and I got to come back home, play video games (stayed tuned for ORAS progress tomorrow!) and of course, shop! I wanted to share with some of the new things I brought home!
Top Row: Santa Baby
Mom & Dad got me this classic Omega timepiece for Christmas/my birthday, which is fast approaching! | My awesome parents also searched far & wide for this Martha Stewart dachshund pillow! I’m obsessed with dachshunds. | Martha Steward does me good every Christmas. You know you’re old when you’re psyched to unwrap mixing bowls!
Middle Row: Nicole Spends Money
Every relative is supporting my coffee habit this year. I’m swimming in Starbucks gift cards! | I picked up Lena Dunham’s Not That Kind of Girl at B&N last week. I guess this is officially my first read of 2015! | I gave in and started my Amiibo collection last week with the purchase of Pikachu & Kirby!
Bottom Row: Always Accessorize
My brother got me the Alex & Ani skeleton key earrings from the Providence Collection! I’d wanted these so badly! | When he ordered them for me, these Sacred Stud Anchors came up under “you may also like.” He thought I would also like and got them for me too! And I really do! | I bought myself a FitBit Flex on New Year’s Eve. It’s taken me a while to be able to fasten it on myself and to get it to track my sleep, but now that I’ve figured it out, I really like it!
What did you get for the holidays?
Before Christmas, I finally took inventory of my massive collection of Alex & Ani jewelry. This Rhode Island brand is super popular now, but I’ve been collecting for a long time. Elissa of Style Wire introduced it to me when the Newbury Street store was new. She learned quickly that she created a monster. The collection as of 2013 was featured on her blog, but I hadn’t taken inventory of it since she took those photos.
Results are questionable. My collection currently consists of: 70 bracelets, 1 ring, 5 pairs of earrings. My brother got me two pairs of earrings for Christmas, so they are not featured in the glimpse of my collection below. They will, however, be featured in my Christmas vacation haul post coming next week!
Here’s a little taste:
Yes, some of these bangles are extremely well-loved. They clean up easily, though! What you’re looking at here is:
The fact of the matter is, I love this brand. As a summer Rhode Island resident, I love the local aspect. I love what the company stands for, spreading positive energy with each stylist talisman.
Do you guys have any crazy collections you’re proud of?

Well, it’s December! In this month’s edition of Photo Finish, we say goodbye to the month of November. I admit, I was a bit off my instagrind this past month, but I’ll do better!
Here’s what I did capture:
[1] Beautiful golden autumn in the South End for Stephanie Cmar’s last donut pop-up of the year. [2] Alex & Ani’s Providence Collection made a great addition to my enormous A&A collection. The matching skeleton key earrings are on my Christmas list! [3] I attended my first little event as a blogger! Did you read my post on Loretta’s Last Call? [4] I attended my second midnight release at Game Stop and this one was a big deal! I picked up Super Smash Bros. for WiiU, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire & Omega Ruby! [5] I finally got my hair done! Blonde for the holidays, please and thank you. [6] I decorated my Christmas tree early… again! It’s full of dachshunds, obviously. [7] I play A LOT of Pokémon. I redeemed my download codes for Gengar and Diancie on this exciting Saturday night pictured. [8] I spent Thanksgiving at my parents’ house. I swear, my mom’s decorating could be in a magazine! [9] Leftover pumpkin pie for breakfast. Yes.
