Diamond, Pearl, Platinum

The Countdown to Pokémon Sun & Moon is on.  From now until November 18th, I’m taking a nostalgic walk through the Pokémon main series releases until the beautiful day I get my hands on the next Pokémon adventure!

Today, we’re talking about Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.  Though I can’t rightly remember my first play-through of Diamond or Pearl, I know Platinum came out when I was in college.  I know I was a little late to the DS party, as my first DS was the lite version, but I know that I got SUPER into Platinum.  I played Platinum so much that my boyfriend at the time purchased a DS of his own because he got jealous of me playing this awesome game.

Generation 4 has the hands-down BEST starter Pokémon choices.  I maintain this opinion to this very day.

Gen 4 was overall a good experience.  It gave me similar feels to gen 3– solid games with new features followed by a souped-up version.  Then, of course, amazing remakes… which we’ll talk about tomorrow.

For now, the tag!

Which Version: Diamond!  Then Platinum.  If memory serves, I think I played Pearl much later.

Played On: Pink DS Lite.

Starter Pokémon: Piplup ❤

Favorite Town: Celestic Town– tiny as it may be, it’s dripping in Pokémon history, which I can’t resist.

Favorite Gym Leader: Candice.

Favorite Pokémon: Turtwig & co., Piplup & co., Drifloon, Froslass, Leafeon & Glaceon!

Favorite Legendary: Honestly, I love the lake guardians.  Catching these three cuties was fun!

Proudest Moment: Evolving my new Eeveelutions!

Most Embarrassing Moment: I think I stayed away from the Fight Area/Survival Area altogether.

Master Ball Used On: The version mascots.

Now I want to hear from you!  Join me in my countdown and tell me about your days playing generation 4’s main games!
