Happy 2015!  I’ve never been much for New Year’s resolutions.  I also keep away from the gym for a couple months to avoid everyone’s else’s.  Last year, I started this blog in early January.  We’re almost a year in now, and I’m so proud of what I’ve done.  There is a long way to go, but that’s what life is… a work in progress.

This year, I do have some realistic resolutions.  These are things I’ve been trying to do in general– not so “new,” but things I want to do and believe I can do.  Here are my resolutions three:


make an effort

I’m not always the most social of butterflies.  I’m perfectly happy to stay in with a book and ignore my text messages on a Friday or Saturday night.  I’m not going to be saying yes to every offer that comes my way, but I do promise that I will make more of an effort to go outside of my comfort zone in 2015.


the golden rule

Something I learned when I was very young was this maxim: treat others the way you want to be treated.  This is not always easy, as not everyone follows this rule.  You will be yelled at for no reason and treated badly by others for no fault of your own.  I’ve been trying to remember that positivity is contagious.  I resolve to not take my moods out on others: to just be nice even when it’s not so easy!


save, save, save

I’m proud to say that I hit my savings goal in 2014!  This is not a number I had in mind all year, but something that evolved overtime as I started regulating my spending habits.  Trust me, this girl loves to spend money and that’s not going to change.  I’ll be picking a new savings goal, though, and I’m confident I’ll be able to report the same success for 2015!
